Best Dating Spots in Kathmandu Valley

City of glory Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal which stands at an elevation of approximately 1,400 meters (4,600 feet) above sea level. Kathmandu is dominated by verdant hills and altogether there are seven UNESCO world heritage sites. The capital city of Nepal is diversely rich for the culture like Hindu and Buddhism and it had hundreds of temples and religious monuments.

Meanwhile, with no doubt, there are several breathtaking places in Kathmandu which is very much popular for dating spots. Currently, the majority of couples love to visit some hill stations near Kathmandu instead of cafe and restaurant, and today we have accumulated several places near Kathmandu where you can spend a lovely time with your date.

1. Manjushree Park

It is quite and well-attended by romantic youngsters who love isolation to behold natural beauty with their loved ones. However, the park also has a cave whose total length is 1250m long, although the only 350m of the cave is open to visitors. One has to pay an entrance fee to explore the cave. Moreover, it is considered to be the longest in South Asia.

For instance, there is also a 104-years-old suspension bridge which offers couples to look at the gorge of the Bagmati River and other entrance of other mystical caves because there are five different points to enter in the cave.

2. Nagarkot

Watching the sunrise and sunset slowly from a hilltop of Nagarkot melts the heart and perhaps Nagarkot is the place where you embrace the lush of Nature with your beloved one. Furthermore, it is a village 32 km East of Kathmandu and it is a spot with the finest views of the sunrise and sunset.

It is renowned for its scenic view of the world’s astounding mountains such as Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Everest, among others. In addition to that, you can also behold the picturesque view of Langtang, Manaslu, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, and Khumbu including the view of a beautiful view of the Valley of the River Indrawati as well.

3. Chandragiri

Standing at an altitude of 2551 feet, Chandragiri is approximately seven kilometers from the Thankot, Kathmandu. The prominent feature of Chandragiri is its 2547 meter peak which provides a 180-degree view of the majestic Himalayas like Annapurna mountain to Everest.

Chandragiri, there is a one-way length of the cable car trip which is about 2.5km and within the few years of its initiation, it has become a hub for the love couples. The route of the cable car starts from Godam, Thankot, and it gives a scenic view of the lush green wilderness. The Chandragiri Hill was an old commercial road of Kulekhani, Chitlang.

At the peak of the ridge, there is the temple of Bhaleshwor Mahadev, which was adorated by the King Prithvi Narayan Shah before he invaded the Kathmandu valley.

4. Tribhuwan Park

The park is famous for couples and to reach there, you only need to drive from Kalanki to the west which is probably is about 15 minutes. The park lies along the path that makes it convenient for those who want to have a nice time with their soulmate.

The park is pretty good and the location is so adorable that it makes a perfect spot for dating. The park is far away from the pollutants of the city which makes the environment looks very pleasant and relaxed. The park is well maintained and besides. love couples, people often visit Tribhuwan park for picnic, gathering, etc.

5. Garden Of Dreams

It was established in the 1920s and initially called The Garden of Six Seasons. Interestingly it was the private property of the Field Marshal Kaiser Sumsher Rana. The Garden of the dream has so much to offer for the young love bird. The garden is filled with neoclassical European walled style with pavilions, fountains, swimming pools, and verandas to be added to this large mansion.

With no doubt, it is the must-visit place around Kathmandu for couples. However, the entrance fee is 200 rupees, and after paying the price you will have access to paradise version of green field which is Classically ornate pavilions, well-groomed with expansive lawns and a peaceful setting.

6. Taudaha

Taudaha is located on the outskirt of Kathmandu valley.   It is home to many around 40 bird species, 17 inhabitants, 2 Summer migrants, and other Winter migrants, including Black Dragon, Cattle Egret, Oriental Magpie Robin, Common Myna, and Jungle Crow have been reported.

There is an area of 400 species of birds. So, perhaps you will find a peaceful time with your love. It is famous for young dating couples where they hold hands of each other and enjoy seeing various types of birds and animals.  The lake includes several fish species too. The lake is renowned for its large carps as well.

It’s also home to mammals including the golden jackals, Indian grey mongoose, and a variety of mice across the lake. It is also the location of a common carp. Green carp, silver carp.

7. Bosan Dada

Bosan Dada is also popular as a lover’s destination. You can see a white abandoned water space in the green field of pastures, with lovely views across the valley and the valleys of the Kirtipur as you pass through the White House or Bosan Hill.

The White House is the last location on top of Dada. If the weather is fine, you can see a beautiful view of the mountains – Gauri Shankar, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu – but fortunately, when there are no clouds you can see the mountains of Annapurna. The seductive view of the mountain valley is worth a look.

8. Kakani

It is an area of the valley of Kathmandu which famous among people of Kathmandu. There are lots of cafes and restaurants at the top of Kakani where you can have the best time with your love.

Way to Kakani involves a mini-trip through pine woods, where you can taste the popular local rhododendron flavored liquors and the trout.
